The VULCAN system tooling include holder assembly+new designed punch+metal stripper.
Preloaded metal spring design can supply more punch force.
Metal Strippers: The use of metal strippers (in place of some polyurethane alternatives) provides robust lateral support for the punch tip. This support is vital for maintaining tool alignment and rigidity, which results in cleaner, higher-quality hole geometry and further extends the lifespan of the punch by preventing deflection.
Spring Feature: Stripping and Sheet Control
The spring inside the Vulcan tooling assembly (Punch Holder/Stripper Canister) is a Stripper Spring.
Primary Function: To exert a force on the stripper plate, which holds the sheet metal flat against the die during the punching cycle, and then forcibly pulls the punch back out of the material after the hit.
Location: The spring is housed within the punch holder/guide assembly and compresses when the ram pushes the punch down. The spring's force is transmitted to the sheet metal via the metal stripper.
