Fully guided Round

① Punch assembly ② Guide with sleeve ③Insert assembly ④ Insert ⑤Step Die
Fully guided type works for small diameter below 6.0mm. Especially recommanded for below 3.0mm to punch stainless steel
Fully Guided Round Features:
1.Guide supply long support to insert,Strengthen insert to prevent damaging. Extend insert life
2.Insert made by AHP material, TICN coating available. Tripple insert life
3.Die in step type, Effectively prevent slug pulling out.

Function of Fully Guided Thick Turret Tooling
The primary function of this tooling is to ensure exceptional alignment between the punch tip and the die opening throughout the entire punching stroke.
Core Action: It holds the punch (the upper component) and the die (the lower component) in a precise, rigid alignment relative to each other, irrespective of the movement of the punch press ram or any slight deflection in the sheet metal.
Mechanism: The "fully guided" design means the punch is housed within a tight-tolerance punch guide (or stripper plate) that remains in contact with the sheet metal during the actual punching process. This guide acts as a highly accurate bearing surface to prevent the punch from shifting laterally or "drifting."
Key Features
Punch Guide/Stripper Assembly: This is the defining feature. The guide assembly is hardened and precision-ground to closely match the punch's diameter. It provides lateral support to the punch tip, especially during initial contact with the material and breakthrough.
Premium Tool Steel and Coatings: These tools are often manufactured using high-speed tool steels (like M2-AHP) and feature advanced coatings (such as TICN or proprietary variants) to boost hardness, reduce friction, and improve wear resistance.
Quick Adjustment/Change Systems: Modern systems often incorporate features like quick-change strippers (no tools needed) and fast punch length adjustment mechanisms (eliminating the need for shims) to minimize machine downtime.
Advantages
Superior Part Quality: The consistent, precise alignment minimizes the "slug pulling" phenomenon (where the cut piece gets pulled back onto the sheet) and reduces burr height, leading to cleaner, more consistent hole quality.
Significantly Extended Tool Life: The full guidance greatly reduces side-loading and premature wear on the punch tip and cutting edge. This translates to more hits between sharpenings and a much longer overall lifespan for the tool.
Increased Versatility and Accuracy: The robust guidance allows for highly accurate punching of thicker materials and high-tensile strength materials that would otherwise cause standard tooling to deflect or wear out quickly. It also maintains tight tolerances for complex shapes and smaller holes.
Reduced Machine Wear: By absorbing the majority of the side-load forces, the fully guided tooling protects the press's turret and ram bores from excessive wear, reducing maintenance costs for the machine itself.
Faster Setup and Changeover: Modern features like shim-less adjustment and quick-change strippers drastically reduce the time needed to set up the tool in the turret, maximizing machine uptime.
Applications
Fully guided thick turret tooling is the preferred choice for demanding punching operations where precision, high material strength, and long production runs are critical.
Thick or High-Strength Materials: Ideal for punching stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels commonly used in automotive and aerospace parts.
Precision Hole-Making: Used for components requiring very tight tolerance holes, such as electrical enclosures, server racks, and detailed appliance parts.
Nesting and Closely Spaced Features: The stability allows for punching holes very close to the edge of the sheet or close to other punched features without distorting the material.
