Thin Turret D station S90 type. Some advantage as below
Guide assembly adjust punch body length by button on head without tools
Punch Body regrinding life up to 8mm.
Punch holder with slots 0-90 degree
Built-in oiling system assures proper internal lubrication
No need punch shims after adjusting punch length
Die height is short 22.0mm.
The D Station is the largest standard station in the thin turret system, accommodating tools up to 3.500" (88.9 mm) in diameter.
Key Technical Specifications
*Station Type: Thin Turret "D" Station.
*Tooling Series: S90 (Series 90).
*Maximum Diameter: 3.500" (88.9 mm).
*Max Material Thickness: Typically up to 0.250" (6.35 mm) depending on machine tonnage (20 or 30 tons).
*Adjustment Style: Screw-style or button-adjustment for tool length, allowing for precise regrinding and life extension.
Core Features of S90 Slitting Tools
*Rapid Tool Adjustment: The S90 system is known for its "Quick-Set" or similar adjustment mechanisms. This allows operators to compensate for punch regrinding without using shims, maintaining the correct shut-height.
*High-Speed Steel (HSS) Construction: Punches are typically made from premium HSS (like M2) to withstand the high hit rates (up to 900+ HPM) of modern Strippit machines.
*Fully Guided Stripping: For slitting and nibbling, the D station uses a guided stripper that holds the material flat against the die. This prevents "sheet pull-up" and minimizes lateral deflection of the slitting blade.
*Slug Free Dies/Slughugger die: Often paired with Mate or Wilson "Slug Free" die geometry, which uses a specific internal taper to ensure slugs fall through and do not "pull" back into the machine.
Applications in the D Station
Because of the 3.5" footprint, the D station slitting tool is used for:
*Long-Hit Slitting: Creating long, straight cuts with fewer hits than a B or C station.
*Heavy Notching: Large rectangular or square notches on the edge of a sheet.
*Part Separation: Separation of large nested parts from the main sheet skeleton.
